Dancer Hiran Chakraborty Honoured with the Youth Icon Award by Magic Book of Record
Ashokenagar, West Bengal: Fifteen-year-old dance prodigy Hiran Chakraborty from Ashokenagar in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, has been honoured with the Youth Icon Award by Magic Book of Record in recognition of his exceptional achievements in dance, inspiring life journey, and dedicated social service.
Hiran’s story is one of determination and resilience. He overcame a squint eye condition through Vaikalpik Chikitsa Paddhati (Alternative Medical Methods) by practicing “Dristived” in Indian classical dance. His successful recovery became the turning point in his life, motivating him to pursue dance with unwavering dedication.
Since then, Hiran has excelled in multiple dance forms, captivating audiences across the country with his remarkable performances. His talent and commitment have earned him several prestigious national and international recognitions, including the Honorary Doctorate Award, recognition as the Youngest Honorary Doctorate Awardee in the field of Art and Dance, as well as national and world record acknowledgements from the Magic Book of Records, and other honor by Government of India and other distinguished organizations.
Apart from his artistic achievements, Hiran has emerged as a role model through his humanitarian initiatives. He voluntarily provides dance training and physical exercise sessions to specially abled children to support their physical and mental well-being. He also uses the honorarium from his performances to provide free dance education, food, and educational materials to orphaned children.
His service extends to senior citizens as well, as he regularly performs in old-age homes without remuneration to bring happiness and emotional support through the power of dance. In addition, he actively participates in social welfare initiatives such as tree plantation drives, food distribution, and clothing donations for underprivileged communities.
Hiran also uses his performances to spread awareness about environmental conservation and to inspire patriotism by promoting the message of tree plantation and the national song “Vande Mataram.”
